HP announces new Omen gaming laptops and desktop in India

While the products cover mostly all the gaming hardware needs, more importantly, with this move, it looks like HP is trying to tap into the growing community of gaming enthusiasts in the country. The new devices include two laptops and one desktop, along with several new gaming accessories. The products will be made available on the company's site, HP World stores, e-commerce portals and, large retail format stores across India.

The Omen 15 is one of the cheapest in the series with up to 4GB NVIDIA 1050 GeForce GTX graphic card & latest 7th gen Intel quad-core i7-7700HQ (3.6 GHz, boost up to 4.2 GHz & 8 MB cache) processor. It comes equipped with 1TB hard disk and 256GB SSD for peak gaming performance.

Available at a starting price of Rs 139,990, OMEN desktop sports 3GB NVIDIA 1060 GeForce GTX graphic card and 7th Gen Intel quad-core i7-7700HQ (4.2 GHz, 8 MB cache) overclocking processor.

OMEN 17 laptop is a VR ready state of the art model sporting. HP claims to have added G-Sync technology for smooth and sharp gaming experience with no screen tearing.

The keyboard, mouse, mouse pad and the headset have been made in collaboration with Steel Series. The keyboard features 5 zones which can output 16.8 million colours for almost unlimited customisation.

The Omen headset comes with a retractable mic and padded ear cushions for comfort.

Developed with input from the top eSports teams, OMEN headset's high-quality performance and precise attention to detail are the difference between crushing victory and heartbreaking defeat.

The Omen 15 series starts at Rs 79,990 while the Omen 17 series will cost you at least Rs 1,39,990 and going up to 1,69,990.The Omen desktop will set you back by the same amount - Rs 1,39,990 with the same NVIDIA 1060 GeForce GTX graphics and the Intel Core i7 processor. The Omen 15 will be available at a starting price of Rs. 79,990, and sports a 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

"The "Omen by HP" laptops are available in two variants with 17.3" and 15.6" screen sizes. Further priced between Rs. 2,199 for the simple pad and max at Rs. 1.40,000 lakh for the advanced desktop, HP's range will give gamers many options to choose from.
