On Thursday, a flurry of verbal agreements led to a certain Green Bay Packers guard being the top offensive lineman available who is not yet committed to a team for 2017.

The 29-year old guard who played some tackle earlier in his career also has an All-Pro mention from earlier in his career (Pro Football Focus, 2014), coming off his 8th season with the Packers after joining them in 2009 through the 4th round, coming out of Eastern Michigan.

The Seahawks are also interested in Lang, according to ESPN. Lang is scheduling a free agent meeting with Detroit. He is expected to be sidelined at least until the start of training camp, for whatever team signs him.

And now they appear to be among the leading candidates to land a Pro Bowler at right guard.

Dahl, a fifth-round selection past year, spent most of the season on the bench.

"You know, Joe Dahl didn't play very much, but he was a guy that we really liked in the draft and he's really a developmental player that needed that year to kind of sit back, see how the National Football League plays because he came from an offense at Washington State", general manager Bob Quinn said.

In 13 games previous year, Lang didn't allow a single sack or hit on Aaron Rodgers, an impressive stastic when considering Rodgers held onto the ball longer than everybody except Tyrod Taylor last season. The player just ahead of him on PFF's list, Kevin Zeitler, reportedly agreed to a five-year, $60 million contract with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday that includes $31.5 million in guarantees.

The Seahawks are far from settled at tackle, with rookie George Fant - a former basketball player who had one year of college experience - at left tackle and Garry Gilliam at right tackle.
