On Saturday, Adult Swim aired its first episode of "Rick and Morty" seen since 2015 as an April Fools' Day treat for loyal fans.

Fans launched a Change.org petition to have the Golden Arches bring back the flavor sauce (which has garnered over 7,000 signatures as of this writing), and McDonald's tweeted in response, "McNugga Lubba Dub Dub".

In the meantime, while you wait for a full Rick and Morty season, catch up on past episodes. That was before the episode went to great pains to explain the quality of the McNugget sauce which hasn't been available since 1998.

At the time of writing, over 25,000 people have signed an online petition urging McDonalds to bring back the szechuan sauce.

Don't lose hope just yet though, after all, a remake of Mulan is now in production.

It turns out that the titular Rick from Rick and Morty isn't motivated by the death of his original family or even some nihilistic philosophy based on the illusion of choice in an infinite multiverse, it's all to do with McDonald's dipping sauce.

"McDonald's Szechuan sauce is the best sauce known to man". Believing it an elaborate April Fool's prank after an earlier Rickrolling video was released, many fans just assumed that it was a joke everyone else was in on despite Rick and Morty trending on Twitter nearly immediately. I think that's a fine enough way to start watching; like most good Rick and Morty episodes, this one is packed with enough quick-fire content to be rewarding upon a second viewing.

"Rick and Morty" opened its season 3 with a hilarious episode but one detail might have twisted the minds of the audience.

Meanwhile, for those waiting for the next episodes of "Rick and Morty" Season 3, the team announced on its Twitter account that it will air this summer.

One Rick and Morty fan was gleeful about Samurai Jack fans' outrage and created a post reading, "The Samurai Jack Subreddit is PISSED".

Come on McDonald's you could save Rick 9 seasons worth of effort! The McDonald's chef Mike Haracz also added that they will see what they can do in order to bring it back. Let us know in the comment section below!
