Carmelo and La La signed a prenup, but are his millions protected?

Unless there's a "cheating clause" in the former pair's prenuptial agreement, Melo is set up to benefit greatly from the 2010 agreement due to his significant paycheck.

As we previously reported, La La Anthony and Carmelo Anthony have called it quits on their marriage nearly seven years after saying "I do" in light of rumors the National Basketball Association player cheated/maybe knocked up a stripper.

The prenup is obviously created to protect Carmelo more than La La, but Mrs. Anthony was earning money as an on-air personality for MTV when she first met Carmelo.

Anthony is in the middle of a $124 million contract, and has raked in more than $200 million during his career.

Melo has a lot more in the money dept. He's been a top brand ambassador to the Jordan brand and Foot Locker.

As for La La ... she was making money as an MTV VJ when they met and has continued to work through the marriage as an actress, model and producer.

Now we're not condoning Melo's alleged behavior of impregnating a stripper, but the prenup was a smart move.

It's important to also note the exes share 10-year-old son Kiyan, which we're sure will come into play while splitting pennies.
