Chicago Bulls accomplish rare feat with win over Boston Celtics

Game 3 will be in Chicago on Friday night.

On top of that, this Celtics squad doesn't feel that they are getting their due respect for finishing as the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

Griffin put up 24 points, Paul had a double-double consisting of 21 points and 10 assists, while Jordan scored 18 points and collected 15 rebounds. They have a chance to even up the series before it heads west to the Windy City.

The Chicago Bulls needed to win just one game in Boston to have a shot in the series.

Chicago Bulls star Dwyane Wade was reminded of LeBron James while watching Jimmy Butler against the Boston Celtics in the National Basketball Association playoffs.

"We're like this", Jimmy Butler said, balling up his fist to show the team's tightness after a regular season with occasional fractures.

"I've always been confident", Portis said.

The No 3 seeds edged out Milwaukee off the back of solid shooting nights from their two star men - DeMar Derozan and Kyle Lowry - something that they sorely missed in the opening match-up. He paced Boston with 33 points. We knew they'd come out and play with great energy.

"It's something we've done a pretty solid job of all season long", Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said. Boston also continues to struggle at the sportsbooks, covering in just three of its past 10 outings and recording back-to-back wins against the spread just once in its past 14 games. At this point in the year it's all about doing whatever it takes to win, and each game is different.

Speaking during Cleveland's shootaround ahead of their Game 2 against IN on Monday, James expressed sympathy for Thomas's situation. That says a lot about the difficulties the Celtics have in securing rebounds if they need guys from the perimeter to help their bigs out.

Boston lost the opener of the seven-game series 106-102 on Monday. Serge Ibaka added 16 points for Toronto, Cory Joseph had 11 and Jonas Valanciunas added 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Bulls' offense executed best when Rondo was creating, both for himself and for his teammates.

"We're never going to make excuses, but this is hard", said the Celtics' Al Horford.

"We knew their stuff just like they knew ours, but we executed extremely well".

Jimmy Butler saw to it that Celtics' talisman Isaiah Thomas, who will fly to Washington to attend his sister's funeral on Wednesday, was not able to get going offensively.
