MIAA, several institutions tabbed to host national championships

OU's Lloyd Noble Center will host a women's gymnastics regional in 2019 and the NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships in 2022, while the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club will welcome a women's golf regional in 2019 and a men's golf regional in 2020.

Lindenwood becomes a destination for six national championships in 2020 - men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf, lacrosse and softball.

The 2017 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championships are being held at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. MI previously teamed with the Detroit Sports Commission to host the 2007 NCAA Championships at the Palace of Auburn Hills, while U-M also hosted the 1934 tournament at the Intramural Building on campus.

The University of Kansas will host a men's and women's cross country regional in 2020, then a men's and women's outdoor track and field preliminary in 2020. Omaha will host an NCAA Regional - the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games - next year.

West Virginia has won five consecutive NCAA rifle titles and 19 overall. The game, hosted by the MIAA and the Kansas City Sports Commission, was first played in the Kansas City area in 2014, and the new four-year contract extension keeps the game at this location through 2021. OSU hosted the men's national championships previously in 1973, 2003, and 2011. The women, as you may remember, were national runners-up last season. We already knew Minneapolis would be hosting a Final Four at U.S. Bank Stadium, but it will also host an NCAA men's basketball regional in 2021.

This is the fourth time Omaha has been selected as the volleyball championship site since 2006.

The CenturyLink Center in Omaha will host first and second rounds of the Division I men's basketball tournament in 2020.
