With superstars such as Canelo Alvarez, Julio Caesar Chavez Jr, Triple G, Daniel Jacobs and Amir Khan, any fighter out of this small list can emerge as the middleweight king while give the fans their money worth.

Another man who will be keeping a close eye on the footage will be his upcoming opponent Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Millions of dollars will be bet on the outcome, too. Also about twice a year for the last three usually in the mid afternoon during a weekday, you will find a portable taquero in the back, a mariachi in the front and every major news outlet from both sides of border as well as nearby Los Angeles represented inside to welcome twenty-six year old Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (48-1-1, 34KO). So, there's possibilities. I think immediately next, Canelo wants to fight Golovkin. That doesn't sound like much of a contest.

The Source Sports: Now speaking on next opponent, it's been rumors and talks saying that the victor of this bout may have the opportunity for a mega title fight with Triple G (Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin). He's the top client at Golden Boy Promotions, the lineal middleweight champion and the No. 8 pound-for-pound boxer at The Ring.

Except that division is super middleweight. And he's been having trouble cutting down to 168 pounds, too. The contract weight for their 10-rounder is 163 pounds. Chavez Jr. hasn't seemed too interested in boxing since losing his title bout against Martinez but whoever wins this fight will be highly celebrated in Mexico and considered the greatest active Mexican boxer. "But we all know Canelo's a very good fighter, and we're all expecting Canelo to go out and beat Chavez, and he should". Not the stuff of legends. Beristain is not Freddy Roach or Robert Garcia, who previously worked with Chavez Jr., but he is an all-time great as well and most importantly, it seems he gels with his fighter, so he should get the most out of him. He's been accused of ducking competition since his big 2013 payday with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Let's hope Canelo vs Golovkin materializes for September but don't be surprised if Canelo vs Lemieux happens instead. The fight, announced in January, has sold out the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, for May 6th and has drummed up enough interest to also sell out a number of closed circuit venues in Sin City as well prompting Golden Boy Promotions, Alvarez's promoter, to distribute the HBO Pay-Per-View event on movie screens across the country. For $6 million in base salary and an undisclosed piece of the revenues, Chavez has agreed to a catchweight of 164.5 pounds, and if he doesn't make weight, Chavez reportedly has to pay Canelo $1 million per extra pound. He's made that very clear to everybody.

It'll probably doom him in this fight, if he wasn't doomed already. At 6-foot-1, Chavez was already having issues cutting weight in his early career, and as we've seen, those issues are only getting worse at age 31. He hasn't always taken his training seriously, either. But at least Chavez will get one more seven-figure payday out of the deal, and maybe a 10-percent chance of salvaging his career with an upset win over Canelo.
