It has been suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active will be released sometime in June, the same schedule all previous Active models have launched.

The customer also reveals that those who pre-ordered the smartphone would get the following items in the bundle, but that would also require that they pay an additional sum for it.

The company has started pre-registration in India from March 29, when the company announced the new flagship, while pre-orders have begun in the U.S. and Korea last week.

While the Galaxy S8 won't actually be released until later in April, Samsung still looks to maintain this stance on button remapping through third-party apps. And why not, the Galaxy S8 is the successor to the best phone of the year 2016 after all. Both phones come with 64GB of internal memory coupled with some of the most powerful components to be found in a smartphone.

In a recent post from Kantar World Panel, looking at the circumstances surrounding the recent Galaxy S8 launch, an interesting little tidbit was dropped than I never would have seen coming.

At the same time, it may be tough to predict what the Active version will be like this time. The Note 7 debacle a year ago certainly was a bad situation to be in, making the tech giant skip the Mobile World Congress and delay the Galaxy S8 launch. Curved screen Active would purportedly be the first time, but the Active variant might feature a flat screen instead. Will the device have a dedicated key for Bixby?

In addition to a more rugged build and a shatter-resistant screen, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active should also pack a larger battery compared with the regular Galaxy S8. The upcoming variant of the device is expected to sport the model number SM-G892A, one that hasn't yet been mentioned in any previous reports, including certificates issued by the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
