Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 98th, 99th, and 100th Champions League goals on Tuesday night as Real Madrid beat Bayern Munich 4-2 in extra time to advance to the Champions League semi-finals.

Bayern's manager Carlo Ancelotti and the team's players complained about decisions by Viktor Kassai, the match referee who, in their opinion, failed to notice that two goals by Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo were offside.

'I did think we had a good chance of qualification after the 3-0 first leg result, but I honestly didn't believe we would come to Camp Nou and keep a clean sheet. We lost the Champions League in less than 120 seconds then.

"After 90 minutes, we won 2-1 in Madrid and I have to pay a massive compliment to the team for their performance over the 120 minutes", he added.

In the video below, Ronaldo is greeted by a standing ovation from Real's players and staff before going round to each member of the squad and shaking their hand.

A weird Sergio Ramos own-goal forced the extra period after Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring for Bayern from the penalty spot and Ronaldo equalized.

"Perhaps the fans won't boo him any more, but this is the Bernabeu and it can happen from time to time and he knows that", said the former France captain.

London [U.K], April 19: Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is likely to miss the rest of the football season after suffering a left foot injury against Tuesday's clash against Real Madrid.

Even Gerard Piqué wanted to speak about the game and the referee and he tweeted the following from his Twitter account. We felt it a lot and you start to wonder a bit. "And for the people who have helped us in the Bernabeu".

"The referee probably wasn't up to the task", Ancelotti said. In a game of such intensity the result can not be decided by the referee.

He followed up the snapshots of the decisions with another Instagram post in his story that said: "One year of hard work, thank you referee, bravo".

Real fans might not appreciate Ronaldo like they should, but his teammates certainly do.

Casemiro was harshly penalized when Arjen Robben tumbled inside the Madrid box, whilst Lewandowski was also offside in the build-up to Ramos's own goal.
