In a recent press conference, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho answered questions about numerous team's star players, including Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Martial has struggled to adapt to life under Mourinho, with the 21-year-old starting just twelve Premier League games so far this season.

It was the latest example of Mourinho going public with his challenges to a player, after his recent criticisms of full-back Luke Shaw.

Mourinho gave his honest opinion on Anthony Martial when he said, "Do I think Anthony is a player with great potential?"

"We saw in the first leg what they can do and we know it is going to be very hard, and we know that pretty much everyone in our team is going to have to put in a ideal performance". Yes, I think. Do I think he can play successfully for me? I even have to think that Axel Tuanzebe goes to the Under-Something World Cup in Korea, because maybe Axel has to come now.

'That's why Marcus Rashford, even without scoring goals, even without that he was always a player I trust.

Manchester United now turn their attentions back to Premier League affairs and their trip to Burnley on Sunday as they look to keep their bid to finish in the top four on track. Anderlecht manager Rene Weiler: "I'm really happy with the way we played but obviously less happy with the result".

"So when you reach a certain level and you've reached it for a long time, I don't think it makes sense".

Mourinho stated that the captain's experience could prove crucial.

Cruelly, we were denied what would have been a ridiculously good goal by Uro Spajic's block inside the six-yard box.

Martial has only started one of United's last eight games and was even dropped from the Red Devils' squad for their 2-0 win against Chelsea on Sunday.

"He's working, he's improving and, if in this session the answer is positive, I will select him to be on the bench. Who else? Nobody else is fresh to play".

The Europa League was the competition in which Rashford made his senior breakthrough last season, scoring twice on debut against FC Midtjylland as an 18-year-old unknown.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic grimaces in pain after falling awkwardly in Man United's Europa League match vs. Anderlecht.

"He is my goalkeeper for tomorrow and he was my goalkeeper in other matches, but he is not my goalkeeper for the Europa League".

Sergio is very experienced and playing very well.

"You always hope to be number one and it's something you work for every week", Romero, 30, told reporters.
