Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has admitted that Juventus played better over the two legs they met in the Champions League and has backed them to win the competition. On Sunday there's another big match, and we'll go there to compete and try and win.

"They are a great team and in general they were better than us, they deserved to progress and I wish them the best because they can win the tournament". Real Madrid sit top of La Liga, three points clear of their arch-rivals and having played one game less.

"Picking youself up after a defeat like this is hard, but we have the best motivation a Cule can have", he said.

"It will be as special as ever and it's a marvellous stimulus: a key game against the leader, a direct opponent".

Reply Sergio did, making sure to get the digs in about the game in the previous round, where Barca of course knocked PSG out - after a, much debated performance from the officials.

The war of words between Gerard Pique and Real Madrid reached ESPN FC comment section levels of villainy with Sergio Ramos taking the time to respond to Pique's latest trolling effort.

Pique acknowledges Barca had a mountain to climb as they tried to repeat their famous comeback against Paris Saint-Germain from the previous round and feels his team were second best.

A brace from Paulo Dybala and another from Giorgio Chiellini in Turin last week left the Bianconeri firmly in control ahead of Wednesday's quarter-final second-leg tie at the Nou Camp.

"So it will be hard to revive the players, but very easy to motivate them".

"For some it rankles to see Camp Nou applause despite going out of Europe".

He also posted: "Thanks, fans".

"They are Italians, they know how to defend well and they are specialists in that area. They came to play their football and they succeeded", he added.
