Former 'Deadliest Catch' star Jake Harris arrested for vehicle theft, drug possession

Former "Deadliest Catch" star Jake Harris was arrested over the weekend after allegedly stealing an auto and for drug possession.

Harris was charged with one count of theft, one count of unsafe drug possession and one count of prescription drug possession, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

According to police documents, Harris was traveling with a friend through Phoenix and staying in a hotel.

Friday morning, the woman told cops she discovered Jake had split from their hotel. taking her vehicle in the process.

She called him and he told her he was at a Circle K at 19th and Campbell avenues, where they argued about the auto and whether he had permission to drive it, according to police. She woke to find Harris, her keys, her cash and her vehicle gone.

The woman told police she and Harris were in town together on vacation.

Phoenix PD officers showed up and searched Harris. Harris said he had last used the meth two days prior to his arrest and told police he had bought it off the street, as well as the Xanax.

This isn't Harris's first run-in with the law. In 2010, he was arrested for DUI. In 2016, he was "seriously injured" after being tossed from a moving vehicle.
