The biggest U.S. carriers have also cooled on the plane, with American Airlines Group Inc past year deferring delivery of 22 jets by an average of 26 months and United Continental Holdings Inc saying it may swap its order for A350-1000s to smaller aircraft.

Asiana Airlines' President Kim Soo-cheon attended the event after departing from Toulouse via the company's first A350.

With its very long range capability, economic fuel consumption and spacious cabin, the A350 XWB is the ideal choice for our worldwide long haul routes.

This photo taken on March 16, 2017, and provided by Asiana Airlines shows an A350-900 aircraft parked at airplane manufacturer Airbus' headquarters in France after undergoing a paint job.

It says the 20 aircraft will be delivered in stages with six arriving in 2019, another six in 2020, and four each arriving in 2021 and 2022.

Asiana's A350 airliner has a three-class layout with a total of 311 seats and provides in-flight Wi-Fi, smartphone roaming and Economy Smartium services.

Altogether Asiana has ordered 30 A350s and will initially operate the aircraft on flights within Asia. Long-haul routes to Europe and United States will start from the third quarter this year, beginning with services from Seoul to London and San Francisco.
