Don't be shocked if you see a robot dog delivering you a parcel!

The tests, which are now limited to Boston Dynamics employees' homes, are meant to demonstrate how robots can work in more marketable ways, according to the report.

Spot, a four-legged, dog-like robot from Boston Dynamics, is programmed to deliver packages to consumers' front doors, according to ReCode.

Raibert also showed videos of Atlas, its bipedal access robot, working on a factory floor moving boxes to a conveyor belt, which he said is now working at two-thirds of the average speed of a human worker. SpotMini trotted onstage during the recent event and showcased its abilities, according to the TED blog. Marc Raibert founder and CEO of the robotics company Boston Dynamics said, "Boston Dynamics' latest advancement is reducing the size and weight of its humanoid robot from a whopping 375 lbs.to just 165 lbs".
