Tottenham Hotspur won the double in terms of the Premier League's monthly awards, with Mauricio Pochettino and Son Heung-min picking up the gongs.

After landing the gong, Son told the club's official website: "I'm really thankful to my teammates".

Pochettino led his side to six successive wins in April - scoring 16 times and conceding just one - as the north London team threatened to push Chelsea all the way. Son became the first Asian victor of the honor when he took the award last September.

South Korea's Son, 24, collects the players' prize for the second time this season after becoming the first Asian recipient of the award in September.

"It will be special, first of all for the fans, the staff, the players, everyone who loves Tottenham", he said. "This is not my finish line". He has so far scored 19 goals in all competitions this season, matching Cha Bum-kun's tally in the 1985-86 season with Leverkusen.

The Lilywhites have been one of the Premier League's top performing teams this season and have been Chelsea's closest title challengers in recent weeks. "It was hard from Monday to Wednesday at training and it was hard to be happy but then we have only been focused on (playing) Manchester United (tomorrow)".

Leaders Chelsea have the chance to wrap up their second title in three seasons when they visit West Bromwich Albion today, which would leave Spurs battling to secure runners-up spot when they host Manchester United on Sunday.

It is also the last match to be played at White Hart Lane before the stadium is demolished to make way for the club's new 61,000-seater venue, which is due to be ready for the 2018-19 season.
