CE meets Prime Minister of Pakistan

Prime minister Narendra Modi didn't sent India's steel tycoon Sajjan Jindal to meet Pakistan's premier Nawaz Sharif, this was stated by Indian journalist and author Prem Shankar Jha, reports Dawn on Tuesday, adding that Sajjan came on the invitation of Sharif.

Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir and Chairman Board of Investment Miftah Ismail were also present on the occasion.

Carrie LAM said that Pakistan and Hong Kong have deep relationship based on people to people contacts. The chief executive was accompanied by Hong Kong Finance Secretary Paul Chan Mo Po, Commissioner for Belt and Road Yvonne Choi Ying Pik and Secretary Treasury.

According to Consulate General of Pakistan, the focus of the Forum will be to highlight business opportunities emerging from the China Pakistan Economic Corridor. He said Hong Kong was one of his favourite places, adding that Pakistan had strong relations with Hong Kong, and there was a great scope for trade and economic relations between the two countries.

PM Nawaz also held meeting with Chief Executive of Hong Kong C Y Leung in Hong Kong and agreed to further promote bilateral economic and trade relations.

He said Pakistan and Hong Kong have strong trade relations that need to be further enhanced, as there are enormous opportunities in this regard.

She will assume her office on first of July this year. "We have established different Economic Zones for investment", he mentioned.

Sharif apprised the company heads about Pakistan's investment-friendly policies that offer incentives for foreign businessmen.
