As Konami stated, the PC version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 will be "to the standard of the leading console iterations".

Konami claims it has also improved PES visually using the "Real Capture system", which "provides true-to-life lighting across day and night games, while over 20,000 components have been faithfully recreated to recreate the turf, tunnels, and the surrounding areas of stadia such as Camp Nou and Signal Iduna Park".

Just like its rival Federation Internationale de Football Association, there's a new PES game every year and it looks like this one is going to be no different, with PES 2018 arriving in the autumn. Konami's latest festival of goals, saves and Neymar-top-off celebrations is bound for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC - the latter especially newsworthy, as the Steam version is finally being brought in line with the big boy console versions.

Konami has been making Pro Evolution Soccer every year with the best gameplay that you could possibly get and trying to acquire new licenses to keep the game interesting at every point. Get the app and get the game.

The old season isn't quite over yet, but you can already start looking forward to the new one with PES 2018 today confirmed for a 14 September release.

Publisher Konami are promising that it will feature more new additions than any other PES game in the last 10 years, including gameplay improvements, online co-op, random selection match, and a long overdue overhaul of the presentation and menu system. There's also Real Touch+, which is a new ball control mechanic that allows full body touch and there are new set pieces too with a new free kick and penalty kick system.

It includes a new cooperative mode, and the transfer system has been improved. Historically, new installments in both franchises come out in September.
