Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, and Blake Lively at the NY premiere of Paint It Black, presented by Svedka, at the Museum of Modern Art.

"It's so amusing because some of us having nothing in common", she told PEOPLE with a laugh.

"I really, I adore her and she's awesome and she's somebody that fills me with a lot of joy", she told news show Entertainment Tonight, revealing she and Schumer are part of a "text chain" with Girls star Lena Dunham.

In fact, it was Poehler who suggested to Tamblyn that she adapt Paint It Black, which is based on Janet Fitch's 2006 novel of the same name.

Lively and Bledel walked the red carpet with Tamblyn at the Museum of Modern Art in NY, and Ferrera, who'd been busy at the NBC Upfronts earlier in the day, joined them all later for the after party.

It was once rumored that Lively even named all three of her former co-stars godmothers to her oldest daughter, James, but she set the record straight.

Honestly, if the cast wanted to use this get-together as inspiration for the long-awaited sequel to The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, it could totally work. This shirt was all wrinkled and I was like, 'I'm screwed!

"I think we all give to each other and share with each other".

As for Schumer, who also came out to support her at the premiere, Tamblyn gushed, "I really I adore her and she's fantastic and she's somebody that fills me with a lot of joy". "And she was like, 'Put it in the bathroom for 20 minutes and turn the shower on. What shoes are you going to wear?'" Though there are no official plans for another follow-up, Lively said in 2016 "there's a strong chance there might be a third".

"We've been best friends for 13 years so we bounce everything off each other, from baby tips to clothes", Lively explained. "To be able to create something together again has always been a dream of ours".
