Wood has become only the sixth player in United's history to net 30 goals or more in one season and West Ham United, Stoke City, Southampton and Swansea City are all thought to be chasing the 25-year-old striker.

The rumblings have already started, with The Mirror today stating that a host of Premier League clubs were ready to make a move this summer for the Whites attacking talisman.

But according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds are yet to receive a bid for their talismanic striker.

The New Zealand worldwide striker finished as the Championship's top scorer with 27 goals, but despite his best efforts Leeds failed to make the play-offs after a late-season slump.

Chris Wood's effect and importance to the Leeds United side can not be underestimated when it is compared to the efforts of last season.

Leeds striker Chris Wood is the target for four Premier League clubs who are all looking to add goals to their lineups ahead of next season.

It is this all-round game, and lethal potential, that has no doubt piqued the interest of suitors and The Sun's Dan King says that there is a number of them queuing up to snaffle him from the Whites over the summer.

Asked about his future in the aftermath of this season's finale at Wigan Athletic, Wood said: "I have been working hard all season to do what we have been doing and hopefully getting promoted to the Premier League".
