Despite attracting reported interest from Crystal Palace, Everton, Bournemouth and West Bromwich Albion, it is thought West Ham lead the race in bringing the player to the Premier League.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United have held talks with John Ruddy, who is set to leave Norwich City later this summer on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old, who has spent the past two years in East London, admitted earlier this week that he wants assurances that he will be a regular next season. "He is our player and we are happy with him", Bilic told reporters.

With one game left to play, the club are now 12th in the Premier League table, which is a big drop from last season's seventh-placed finish.

He played a couple of games in the pre-season when we went to the States and we were missing a few players. To be fair, the big majority of those rumours, there is no truth in them. They visit 15th-placed Burnley knowing a win could see them finish in the top half of the standings for the second consecutive season.

Bilic also confirmed that defender Winston Reid would be out for around 10 weeks after undergoing surgery on a knee injury.

"He is good. He had an operation and will be out for 10 weeks, so he'll be ready for the start of next season", added the Croatian.

"Declan is very good for his age". He is extremely good, he is mature and it's all based on the training and he plays very well for the U23s. "There's a bright future for him, it's all down to him".
