IPL 2017: SRH vs KKR - Star of the Match - Nathan Coulter-Nile

"The cross-seam was holding up and the slower ones were getting a little bit of grip", Coulter-Nile told reporters at post-match press conference here.

The effects of the concussion kept Coulter-Nile out of Kolkata's next three matches - with Knight Riders assistant coach Simon Katich telling Indian media on May 6 that the 29-year-old was "off-colour" and would not be rushed back - before the paceman returned as a last-minute inclusion for the must-win game against the Sunrisers.

Coulter-Nile, who picked three wickets to star in KKR's win, said the IPL needed to have a relook at the rules. I think there is so much time, rules probably need to be looked at, I mean its 2 a.m., you can't be playing cricket at 2 o'clock.

The Australian seamer credited fellow KKR pacers Umesh Yadav and Trent Boult for giving him pointers which helped his bowling.

"Piyush removed Warner that I thought was the turning point. 10 runs make a lot of difference", he said.

"I think I bowled the seventh or eighth over and they said Look, cross-seamers into the wicket, throw them hard and you really rely on your teammates to give you some pointers on what to do?", he said. The covers kept coming on and off.

Having restricted Sunrisers Hyderabad to 128 for seven, it was an agonising wait for KKR for more than three hours.

They then got the required 48 runs with four balls to spare in the rain-truncated six over run-chase, but not before losing three wickets in first two overs, including the classical Kane Williamson.

"No one really got nervous till they went for that last look at 12.30". We also know what the wicket is like, which is an advantage to us. "We got a couple of lucky wickets, but the boys bowled fantastically". We've played them twice already, we know what they're going to bring. It was short ball, climbing to the batsman, but Coulter-Nile pulled it away with such conviction that it flew off, and covered some distance. I was really exhausted, had headaches and was sick. "But play offs need to have an extra day in case of an abandoned match", Shah Rukh tweeted.
