The NBA Eastern Conference Semi-Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Washington Wizards has been a back-and-forth series with the home team winning each game so far.

The Cavaliers will play the Celtics Wednesday night in the Eastern Conference finals in Boston. The two teams have traded victories on each others' home courts for their semifinals series, so John Wall and the Wizards will have to win in a rowdy TD Garden in Boston in order to move on.

Instead of forcing plays, Thomas looked for the open man, most notably Kelly Olynyk, who scored a playoff career-high 26 points off the bench.

"I knew it would be a big time game tonight. Come back to me after we've won a championship".

Thomas led the Celtics with 29 points and 12 assists, while the Wizards didn't have much offensive coherency outside of Beal's shooting. Boston also connected on 11 three-pointers, including eight of 13 in the second half.

"Everyone gave their best tonight and it turned out well", Olynyk said.

In Game 7, the Celtics triumphed at TD Garden, 115-105, outlasting a Wizards team that didn't have enough defense or balanced scoring when it mattered.

"We needed more from our bench", Wall said.

They'll be looking for a similar outcome after Game 1, as they look maintain their status as the Eastern Conference's top dog. "But we kept going and stayed the course". "I get my treatment every day and I'm ready to play". "The end result. The only thing that matters is getting a win".

Otto Porter added 20 points. The reigning world champions will be taking on the Boston Celtics after the Celtics overcame the Washington Wizards in a thrilling Game 7 on Monday night.

Brown's reverse dunk in the opening seconds of the fourth got the crowd going again, giving the Celtics a 87-79 lead. But Olynyk then took over. The Wizards wore all-black to a regular-season matchup with Boston in January before soundly beating them. "He was the difference today - a huge difference".

KEEP AN EYE ON: The scoring production of Wall and Beal. "That's a tough team that we played seven tough games against and they can score". But they're still a little too unstable in some areas to pull through and play to the level of their talent.

Yet Boston rallied brilliantly to outscore Washington by 21-9 over the rest of the quarter to build a lead they would never relinquish. The Celtics sliced up this lineup, building a comfortable lead that could withstand Beal's second run.

"They didn't give us a chance [against the Wizards]. Just came up short", Wall said. Olynyk broke out everything in his arsenal, including his seldom used low-post game to slip some nifty finger rolls by smaller defenders. "So it's a not a satisfied season to me". And so the Wizards, who lived by the comeback this season, finally fell into a hole they couldn't claw and climb out of. Outrebounded the Celtics 43-31.

Game 2: Friday, May 19, 8:30 p.m. Lost season series to Cleveland 3-1.

The Celtics take care of business on their home floor. Cleveland won the last meeting between the two teams on April 5 in Boston.
