Chelsea are ready to launch a £39 million offer for Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to reports in France.

The 22-year-old has played a pivotal role in helping Monaco win the Ligue 1 title this season, but it's been speculated for weeks that Leonardo Jardim could see his title-winning side broken up this summer.

With Diego Costa rumoured to be set for China, Chelsea may be inclined to keep hold of Batshuayi after his victor at West Brom sealed the title and provided the Chelsea boss with a hard - albeit nice - decision to make this summer.

It is thought that Monaco will be offered £43m in exchange for Bakayoko's services, with Chelsea considering including Belgium worldwide Batshuayi as part of the deal.

Bakayoko is also on Manchester United's radar.

Transfer plans are set to become negotiations as the season winds down, and while Chelsea's immediate priority is to lock up new contracts for Conte, Hazard, and Courtois, there's plenty of benefit to acting quickly in the transfer market as well - especially for a coach like Conte who places great emphasis on players learning our system and way of football.

The Blues will be looking to defend their title next season and make an impact on their return to the Champions League, and France worldwide Bakayoko could add vital depth to a relatively thin squad.

In addition, it's suggested that Michy Batshuayi could be included in any potential deal either on loan or in a permanent move, but what is clear is that Chelsea aren't short of transfer funds with Conte looking to make serious reinforcements this summer to ensure that his side are ready to defend their Premier League crown and make a splash in the Champions League.

The 23-year-old has barely featured for Chelsea in the Premier League this season despite scoring the goal that won them the title against West Bromwich Albion last week.
