Samsung Z4 goes on sale in India today at Rs 5790

Earlier, while speaking to the press Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President, Samsung India Electronics had stated, "Our affordable Tizen series has been instrumental in catalyzing the smartphone upgrade and with Z4, we will offer yet another compelling product to affordable segment consumers".

In terms of specifications, the Samsung Z4 sports a bright 4.5-inch display with a screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and 2.5D curved glass on top.

The Samsung Z4 price in India is Rs. 5,790, and it comes with two covers in the box - Black and Gold - allowing buyers to switch up the colour variants when they feel like doing so.

The Samsung Z4 is the fourth member in the Z series, after Samsung Z1, Z2 and Z3. The first Samsung Tizen smartphone unveiled was the Samsung Z, but never became available in markets. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5Ghz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset) coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory storage, which is further expandable by up to 128GB via a micro-SD card.

Samsung Z4 will be available from offline retail stores.

Samsung is highlighting the budget-friendly nature of the smartphone as its main selling point. On the front side, the handset features a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash for capturing bright selfies and video calling. On the rear, it a 5-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash support Samsung says the front and rear cameras are "optimised for social media" and offer features focused on convenience and creativity. Like other Samsung phones, the Z4 also has Ultra Power Saving mode and comes with S Bike mode.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth V4.0, GPS, GLONASS and USB-2.0. The smartphone houses a 2050mAh battery. The Samsung Z4 measures at 132.9 x 69.2 x 10.3mm and weighs 143 grams.
