"This piece of s- is a not just an embarrassment to American and a stain on the presidency. He's an embarrassment to humankind", Aslan tweeted out.

The hosts of "Fox & Friends Weekend" blasted a CNN host for posting an expletive-laden tweet directed at President Trump, moments after the London terror attack unfolded.

The CNN host and religious studies expert also shared a tweet from NBC Nightly News that said the network would not be sharing Trump's tweet about the attack, which referenced a message from the Drudge Report about the incident, as it could not yet verify the details.

His first response to the attack was to tweet: 'We need to be smart, vigilant and tough.

The host retweeted Trump, whose initial response to the attack highlighted the nation's need for a travel ban.

Aslan received harsh criticism following his original tweet criticizing Trump, the article said.

Trump followed up on his tweet by saying that "whatever the United States can do to help out in London and the U.K., we will be there".

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee used the incident to jab Aslan - whose last name he misspelled - for eating human brain in an episode of his CNN show "Believer" that aired earlier this year. "If we don't get smart it will only get worse".

Still, Trump's renewed call for a "travel ban" - his proposal to restrict refugee resettlement and travelers from certain Muslim-majority countries from entering the USA, which has been struck down by federal courts - caused many, mainly progressives and liberals, to lash out, including Aslan. We need the courts to give us back our rights.

In London, a vehicle veered off the road, striking pedestrians on London Bridge on Saturday.
