Constand leaves witness stand after two days

Andrea Constand's case is the only one in which Cosby has been charged.

Phone records showed Constand called Cosby 53 times between January 20, 2004, days after the incident, and March 31, 2004, when she left Temple University, including twice on Valentine's Day.

Cosby admitted in a 2005 deposition unsealed in 2015 that he had Quaaludes in the 1970s to use for sex with women, but he has insisted in the same deposition and since that the interaction between him and Constand that night in January 2014 was always consensual. "I was reclined on my elbow with my feet off the bed, watching Mr. Cosby sleep", she said.

Gianna Constand says she bought a phone recorder in hopes of catching Cosby confessing to harming her daughter at his suburban Philadelphia home.

The 79-year-old legendary comedian faces three counts of aggravated indecent assault for allegedly drugging and assaulting Andrea Constand, a former Temple University employee, 13 years ago.

Defense attorneys were quick to assert that the elder Constand had misconstrued the conversation, which contained graphic details, and said Cosby had asked the younger Constand to "tell the truth" about the encounter. Appearing unrattled, Constand attributed her recollection mistakes to human error.

During one exchange, Agrusa suggested that Constand once enjoyed a romantic dinner at Cosby's home before the alleged assault.

Cosby had earlier arrived at the courthouse in Norristown, Philadelphia, for the third day of his trial accompanied by actress Sheila Frazier, who starred with him in the 1978 comedy California Suite. Constand initially told police about the incident in 2005, but the then-district attorney declined to press charges against Cosby.

She told the court on Tuesday that she felt her continued friendship with Cosby after the alleged assault was important to the school's athletics department. She told the court on Tuesday (06Jun17) she was left "humiliated" and "confused" after his alleged 2004 attack.

Under cross-examination from the defense at the end of the day or what she called "testing my memory about irrelevant things", the testimony of Gianna Constand concluded just after 5:16 PM ET.

"She viewed him as a father", she added.

But Constand said Wednesday she was merely returning his messages.

Agrusa later said, "He was coming on to you".

"I was mistaken", Constand testified.

The defense's next suggestion is that Constand and Johnson thought of their respective relationships with Cosby as potential sources of personal gain-and that they consciously endured inappropriate behavior from the comedian with a mercenary goal in mind.

At one point, a juror had trouble reading the phone records that Agrusa projected on a courtroom screen, piping up to ask, "Is that an 8?"

"No, ma'am, he never said a word to me", Constand said.

He also suggests that Gianna Constand and her daughter travel to meet with him to discuss his proposal. The defense has tried to characterize both women as professionally eager and malleable, looking for a career change that they knew Cosby could facilitate.

Constand's mother is expected to take the stand later in the trial. Constand testified on stand for four hours, where she delivered a tearful yet poised account of the long history she and Cosby share. And I don't feel her say anything. Theirs was a professional relationship, emphasized prosecutor Kristen Feden, one in which a sports director would have every reason in the world to return calls from a very important trustee. Gianni said, claiming she asked, "What medication did you give to my daughter, and why, when my daughter was sick from why didn't you call 911?"

They raised issue with Constand's repeated contact with the man she says sexually violated her.
