Yet according to UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, Trump does in fact believe in climate change.

"We will maintain our spirit of collaboration and ambition adopted in the Marrakech Proclamation and we will continue to pursue our collective efforts to fully implement the Paris Agreement", he added.

"Americans will honor and fulfill the Paris Agreement by leading from the bottom up - and there isn't anything Washington can do to stop us", said Bloomberg, the former New York City mayor who now serves as the U.N.'s special envoy on cities and climate change. The 21st Century will be powered by clean energy and Trump's decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement could mark the end of American supremacy.

Other rallies were held in cities from Portland, Oregon on the US West Coast to Munich, Germany and Lima, Peru. They were far smaller than some of the earlier anti-Trump protests.

Former FBI chief Robert Mueller has been named as a special counsel to investigate any links between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign. "It's not only Russian Federation, it's also his business ties, how him and his family are profiting from this presidency".

In addition to California, Washington and NY, the other members of the U.S. Alliance are Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Vermont and Virginia.

Ms. Stefanik blasted Mr. Trump in a statement Thursday evening following his announcement that the United States will leave the climate pact - a multi-national agreement calling for climate change solutions.

"I believe in clean air, and I think Americans will still lead on clean air", he said. "It's clear that the demerits, the efficacy both in environmental outcomes as well as the cost to us from a jobs perspective was a bad deal for this country", Pruitt said, arguing that the United States has already accomplished a great deal in reducing its carbon footprint. "Wisconsin has the second highest percent of manufacturing jobs in the country", he notes.

She said that the United States is conscious about the environment and it will continue to do its part in protecting climate change. "The United States will meet its commitment".

Its own video refers, for example, to major companies such as Exxonmobil and Microsoft which "disagree" that the accord will "undermine" USA jobs, and quotes the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on the urgent need to fight carbon emissions. No longer can other countries just sit and hope everything works out.

He was to address a pro-Paris rally Saturday in Pittsburgh.
