The girlfriend of missing airman Corrie Mckeague has announced the birth of their baby.

April-Louise Oliver posted a picture on Sunday - Father's Day - of her cradling the newborn in a hospital bed.

April didn't confirm when the baby was born and simply posted two hearts and a unicorn emoji alongside the heartwarming image on her Facebook page today.

The personal trainer told the BBC when she announced her pregnancy that her partner is "just the sweetest and most outgoing person I've ever known".

As well as the picture, around a month ago she posted a tribute to Corrie, who has been missing since the early hours of September 24th.

Miss Oliver said she discovered she was pregnant with Mr Mckeague's baby two weeks after his disappearance and said in January: "I've had to make a massive decision by myself".

McKeague, from Fife, vanished after a night out with friends in Bury a year ago.

'Your daddy would be so proud of you, my little one and would love you as much as I do.

Police specialists believe that Corrie is in a landfill site in Milton, Cambs., after CCTV footage last saw him entering a refuge area behind a Greggs in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

Corrie's mobile phone was tracked following a similar route to that of a bin lorry, which was found to have carried weight akin to a human body.

The search so far has cost more than £1m.

Mr Mckeague's mother Nicola Urquhart also posted a photo on the Find Corrie Facebook page, saying the baby was "perfect".

The pair met on a dating site and had been in a relationship for five months before Mr Mckeague - originally from Dunfermline in Fife - went missing from his base at RAF Honington in Suffolk.
