The New Mexico State Police has responded to a hostage situation at McGinn's Pistachio farm near Alamogordo in Otero County.

Police say they are now negotiating with a potentially armed suspect inside one of the buildings.

KRQE will continue to provide updates as details are made available.

Fourteen hostages, including one three-year-old child, were all rescued uninjured, Carl Christiansen said.

The suspect was taken into custody, and is being treated for injuries received in a crash prior to entering the building.

Police said they sent every available resource to the incident which included Tactical units and the Crisis Negotiation team.
