"I have heard some rumours claiming that I could leave, but that is rubbish, it is fake news", Digne told Mundo Deportivo.

Verratti remains a big player for PSG and after an underwhelming season in France and Europe, the club have made it clear that they are in no mood to lose a player of his quality.

"I look forward to the start of next season".

Lucas Digne signed with Barcelona from PSG last summer. I want to be part of this great club's future and win many trophies.

In turn, the transfer saga is likely to be drawn out as both sides seem absolute in their desires, with Verratti expected back at pre-season training next month, while he waits for updates to see if he gets his move to the Nou Camp.

Inter Milan and Lyon are two of the sides who have been credited with an interest in the left-back, who joined Barca in a deal potentially worth up to €20 million from Paris Saint-Germain past year.

Spain global Jordi Alba remains Barca's first choice left-back but Digne still managed 26 appearances for the Blaugrana last season and he's aware that competition for places is important for Europe's biggest clubs.

The 24-year-old has reportedly informed the French club that he wishes to leave this summer after five years, during which time he has attracted many admirers.
