ESPN, Disney XD To Broadcast Top Evo Games

Wii U and Street Fighter 5 finals will be broadcast live on Disney XD this weekend.

Most excitingly, Disney XD will be broadcasting the Smash for Wii U finals this Sunday, July 16th, as part of the network's new game themed programming block, DXP. Evo brings together the best of the best from around the world in a dazzling exhibition of skill and fun, as players and fans gather to honor the competitive spirit in an open format and determine a champion.

On Day 2 we'll get to see pools for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Super Smash Bros., Injustice 2 and Street Fighter V.

And if you're looking to watch games beyond Smash, you can browse to the official EVO channel on Twitch throughout the weekend, which will be featuring the very finest moments of the event.

ESPNU and Disney XD will simulcast the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Final live from the Evolution Championship Series (Evo 2017) from Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas beginning at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 16.

Evo - They will also host the top eight finals out of all the games.

Those that have cable service might be surprised to know that you will be able to watch this year's tournament through Disney's recently launched D|XP channel, that caters for to gaming and eSports crowd.

The action will start at 10am Pacific (1pm Eastern), and will be streamed on a number of Twitch channels. When you start seeing highlights and the like, majority will be from that selection.
