The two phones include super thin bezels and precise edges, however, there are a few viewpoints about Essential's gadget we lean toward over LG's gadget. For the time being, Fouché's position is being held by Essential's head of product marketing.

The Essential Phone may have missed its soft June launch timeframe, but the company's COO says we should prepare for imminent arrival in the U.S., according to Financial Times. And now, it seems that other countries around the world will finally get a chance to snag the smartphone for themselves.

Meanwhile, after Essential missed its initial shipping window a few weeks, ago, Niccolo de Masi, chief operating officer of the company, stated that the phone's release in the USA is "imminent".

According to a Financial Times report, the start-up, helmed by Android co-creator and founder Andy Rubin has entered into negotiations with United Kingdom networks over a possible exclusivity deal for a British launch "this year". Essential has reportedly held talks with United Kingdom networks last week to decide on a launch date and a potential exclusive deal. It has a price tag of $699, while adding the 360-degree camera accessory will now set you back an extra $50 (down from $199).

"Consumer choice has declined due to Samsung and Apple", said de Masi, before accusing the industry's biggest names of "[slowing] the pace of innovation to boost quarterly profits". While there are fans out there who are disappointed by the slight delay, it looks like the wait will be over soon enough. Interestingly, the Essential has already started work on their second smartphone, as yet unnamed, but probably he will be brought to logical conclusion in view of the outbreak of reshuffles at the top that usually entails downsizing.
