Alejandro is famous for his creations which challenge gender roles - with Bey's dress from his menswear line.

And while the more doting among us zeroed in on the babies, the more fashion-oriented among us couldn't help but obsess over the gown Bey chose to wear for the milestone moment.

The piece is made from vintage silk organza from an old couture textile shop in Córdoba, Spain. "It is circa either the 1950s or the 1960s".

Palomo Spain designer Alejandro Gómez Palomo toldVogue in comments posted Friday that Beyoncé placed a personal order for the outfit after being sent loaner samples and that he and his team took her measurements, tailored the piece, and sent it back.

Just like her pregnancy announcement, the photo in which she announced her said beybies (see what we did there?) also happened to feature extravagant floral arrangements, references to sacred imagery, and of course, the most handsome fashion of possibly all time.

"I love the picture".

So, like the rest of the world, Alejandro was stunned by Bey's Thursday night upload, but for slightly different reasons. "It's exquisite.and I can never find it again", Palomo says of the fabric he used to create the gown. "It's a gown, now, that nearly has the shape of a big fur coat-sleeved and open".
