The Mirror say Everton are preparing a £30m move for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott.

The report details that the Merseyside club are unlikely to snap up Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud after considering his signature, but are still interested in his teammate Walcott. The England worldwide scored an impressive 19 goals across all competitions in 2016/17, despite not necessarily being first choice for Arsene Wenger and the Gunners.

Such is Walcott's longevity he is by some distance the club's longest serving player and has won four major pieces of silverware which includes three FA Cups including winning the competition back-to-back in 2014 and 2015.

The Toffees are apparently prepared to shell out £30 million for the highly-experienced 28-year-old, who looked on from the sidelines for the majority of the Gunners' 2016/17 campaign.

Wayne Rooney, Michael Keane, Davy Klaassen, Henry Onyekuru, Jordan Pickford and Sandro Ramirez have all made the switch to Everton already. He would be a great addition to Koeman's side and his know-how in the Premier League could see him make an immediate impact.

While the Everton fans would question whether Walcott is the man to replace Romelu Lukaku in the number nine role at Goodison Park, his potential addition would be another statement of intent and bolster Koeman's ranks in the final third.
