Rahman was in news earlier this week when several fans complained about his July 8 concert in Wembley, London on Twitter.

There was a demand for an encore even after he regaled the crowd for nearly two hours. "I do not know the details so I do not want to talk much about it", said the actor who is here with the cast and crew of an upcoming Marathi film which she is producing.

Isn't it too late?", Rahman said on the stage before taking up the micagain to sing "Humma humma".He performed his Oscar-winning hit track "Jai Ho" as the lighting on the stage changed to orange, green and white."I am thankful to you all for coming and supporting theconcert.love you " he said.

The rains acted as a dampener as the organisers had to cancel the green carpet ahead of the IIFA rocks, but our superstars of the music world are more than prepared to enthral the audience who will be witnessing the best of Indian music live in NY.

In the overture to the culminating performance by Rahman, singers Kamaal Khan and Diljit Dosanjh took the stage to calm down the audience who had been waiting for quite some time for the rains to subside. The other hit numbers from his vast repertoire were Dil hai chota sa, Agar tum saath ho, Aye hairathe, Tere bina and Tanha tanha.

"I thank him for being an inspiration". Love you all,"Mika added".

Rahman, who recently composed the music for Sachin Tendulkar's biopic, asked the crowd, 'do you like cricket.do you like Sachin?', before singing the title track of the film as the master blaster's photograph was displayed on the screen.
