Last week we brought you early USA pricing and specification details for the 2018 Jaguar E-PACE range.

This being design boss Ian Callum's first time he and his team got to play with a compact crossover, play they certainly did - the designers added a number of easter eggs for customers to find dotted around the vehicle, such as a mother Jaguar and her little cub in tow on the base of the windscreen, and the subtle print of the stowage mats in an animal pattern.

Not surprisingly, the barrel roll is not one to be tried at home: Grant did months of testing and analysis to fine-tune the stunt, including getting the correct speed and ramps.

E comes before F in the English alphabet as well as in Jaguar's crossover line-up - past year the bigger F-Pace helped the company post record-breaking sales and grow by 20 percent annually to sell almost 600,000 cars. As a celebration of the new Jaguar E-PACE, Pete collaborated with singer-songwriter Raye to perform "You Don't Know Me" by Jax Jones - a hit that features Raye that has over 230 million plays on Spotify and over 130 million YouTube views. If you want your E-Pace to be properly appealing you will need to dig somewhat deeper.

With a design which may say Jaguar "Cub" - but definitely doesn't say "baby" F-Pace as we'd expected - Jaguar has delivered a auto which makes just about anything you would consider a challenge - Audi Q3, BMW X1, Mercedes GLA - look rather passé. The jaguar E-Pace launched itself with a 270-degree corkscrew. The company hopes to sell selling more SUVs than sportscars and sedans combined.

While we can also expect the E-PACE to be offered in Australia S, SE and HSE model grades.

Finbar McFall, Jaguar Land Rover's global product marketing director, told reporters last week at the E-Pace debut here that the crossover has been created to cater to those who value connectivity.

The infotainment system in Jaguar E-Pace is central 10.2-inch touchscreen.

The engines will have different Power options that will generate 247 bhp and 297 bhp of power for Diesel engine whereas the Petrol turbo engine will churn out 148 bhp, 177 bhp and 237 bhp of power.

With 297 bhp power the Jaguar E-Pace petrol can easily touch 0-100 kmph in 5.9 seconds.

With a starting price of 28, 500 in United Kingdom the Jaguar E-Pace is expected to be introduced in the Indian market with a larger price tag which may be above Rs. 24 lakh.
