An amateur MMA fighter died after a fight in Louisville this weekend.

Donshay White fought Saturday night at Expo Five on 7th Street Road during the Hardrock MMA 90 fights.

The fight was stopped after 2:22 in the second round after White failed to protect himself against Muse.

The Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Commission says White received medical attention on site before being taken to the hospital. When White made his way backstage on his own, he collapsed and became unresponsive, the report stated.

He was responding and seemed fine to referee Gary Copeland throughout the battle, but seemed exhausted just after it ended and received immediate medical attention.

The cause of his death is still under investigation.

The last time White stepped into the ring was in November of 2015 when he knocked out Joe Johnson Jr in the first round of the Hardrock MMA 76.
