The aeroplane had landed at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), North Carolina, on 16 July at around 4pm when the man "passed gas" in the words of the official.

American Airlines officials admitted that there indeed was an odour issue, but rubbished reports that the reason was because of a passenger passing gas.

Authorities investigated the incident and determined that one of the passengers had "passed gas". Shortly after the plane arrived at the gate, several passengers complained of an odor in the cabin, airline spokeswoman Lakesha Brown told the News & Observer.

WNCN reported Sunday evening, "A person who "passed gas" on an American Airlines plane on Sunday afternoon forced all passengers off the jet, officials said". The airport later said the incident was a "medical call", while American Airlines said there was a "mechanical issue".

RDU officials did not identify where the plane was from or its destination or what type of aircraft was involved.

"But if you can, you should say that whoever is farting in the areas of rows 10 to 12 should definitely see a doctor because they might have ass cancer".
