Apple has shared previews for a new set of emoji coming this year. We do not know exactly when Apple will release all of the new emojis, although we believe it will be around the time iOS 11 comes out. The new emoji set include some interesting emojis, including a zombie emoji, a "mind blown" emoji, a new puke emoji and for overtime you needed to express a dinosaur in your conversations the new T-Rex dinosaur emoji.

Some new standard face emojis are also getting added including one showing someone's head exploding and another that has stars in its eyes.

For example, the App Store will start highlighting apps that help users create or do fun things with the use of emoji. Some of the more fanciful and silly updates include a merperson, a mage, and an elf, as well as a plethora of new faces and food.

For emoji use on Messenger, Hearts and Kisses dominated most of the globe.

Today (Monday July 17) is World Emoji Day and hands tech-savvy messengers the opportunity to celebrate their emoji-usage in style.

The hijab emoji, however, is not the only new emoji that Apple is launching.

For the third year running, the "Face with Tears of Joy" emoji reigns supreme on social media. For those who wish to add the Apple Emoji keyboard on their iOS device, go to Settings General Keyboard Keyboards, and then tap on add new keyboard.

No matter, Apple's emoji library is about to get a lot more expansive.

Apple's last update, in 2016, saw the company release 100 new emojis, including a rainbow flag, single-parent families, and female athletes, police officers and construction workers. Around the globe, Sony Pictures Animation's The Emoji Movie will roll out from late July through October this year.
