Whitehead posted a picture of Blitz on Instagram on Sunday night, alleging that someone had abducted the poor pup. Whitehead explained that a friend of his was watching Blitz while Whitehead was out of town when someone broke into the house and took the dog.

His beloved dog seems to be his main concern, since Whitehead hasn't reported any other signs of vandalism from the dog-nappers. He said someone has contacted him several times since then and demanded "ransom money".

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Lucky Whitehead is asking for help after claiming his pitbull puppy, Blitz, was taken for ransom over the weekend, according to WFAA 8 in Dallas.

The heartbroken football player also posted a message for the dog abductor: "I strongly advise you to stop and return my boy safely before it gets any worse!"
