Chicago Police officer shot responding to robbery

In Logan Square, one man was shot and another man was stabbed during an attack about 8:30 the 2600 block of West North Avenue, according to police. The incident happened outside a cell phone store and may have stemmed from an armed robbery.

The teen was hit in his left shoulder and left leg and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable", police said. She was initially taken to Mercy Hospital and then transferred by to Stroger Hospital with police escorting the ambulance she was traveling in.

One suspect and one person of interest are in custody in connection with the shooting, according to police. Someone tried to steal a 32-year-old man's vehicle, and then shot him in the groin and abdomen in the 1200 block of South California, police said. He was walking in the 7200 block of South Vincennes Avenue when someone walked up to him and shot at him.

The man was hit in his abdomen and groin. He took himself to Jackson Park Hospital in serious condition.

- Just before 7:55 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in the ankle while he was in the 3500 block of North Laramie Avenue in the Portage Park neighborhood on the city's Northwest Side, according to police.
