Where are the fires in Eastern Montana?

The South Breaks Fire is estimated at 7,000 acres 27 miles northeast of Mosby, Mont.

Anne Miller, the Lodgepole Complex Public Information Officer, said additional resources are on the way.

Federal, state and county resources are working on the various fires.

The fire was 20 percent contained by Thursday night, with burnout operations on the east flank.

The fire is under the management of a Type 3 command, led by BLM Incident Commander Scott Meneely.

The cause has not yet been determined.

The Bridge Coulee Fire was discovered Wednesday afternoon, 16 miles north of Mosby, Mont. By 9 p.m., it had grown to more than 32,000 acres.

"There is definitely significant activity in Montana", Sachara said.

The Barker Fire, located 20 miles north of Sand Springs is estimated at 12,000 acres as of Friday afternoon.

On Friday evening, Residents are being ordered to evacuate the entire area north of Highway 200 from the Petroleum County Line and West of Edwards Road due to the threat from the Lodgepole Complex. Incident Commander Rick Connell and his team were recently in the same area, managing the July fire near Zortman.

The haze is coming from the Lodgepole wild fire in Montana, according to KOTA Meteorologist Eric Gardner.

A number of counties, state and federal agencies have fire restrictions in place.
