Anambra guber poll: Uba, 11 other APC aspirants sign undertaking

Ondo state deputy governor and chairman of the screening panel, Agboola Ajayi, said yesterday in Abuja that all the 12 aspirants were eligible to contest the governorship primary.

He said the aspirants complied with the guidelines and promised to support whoever emerge the party's candidate for the governorship election.

The Chairman of the Screening Committee, Adamu Waziri, disclosed this while presenting the clearance certificates to the screened aspirants at the party National Secretariat in Abuja.

Receiving the report, National Organising Secretary, Osita Izunaso, said that the next phase will be that of appeal panel if there need be.

He also commended the aspirants for their maturity saying "so far we have not received any report of violence among all the aspirants".

According to Uba, "we have all signed an undertaking to support whoever will at the primary", he said. "We urge you to carry on and we are very hopeful that one of you will eventually emerge the next governor of Anambra State".

He added that the incumbent "must pack his load and go because APC must win Anambra".

The All Progressives Congress has cleared all the 12 aspirants who paid and picked nomination and expression of interest forms to take part in the party's governorship primary in Anambra State.
