Sanchez has been instrumental to Arsenal's fortunes ever since he joined them from Barcelona back in the summer of 2014.

Arsenal are facing a mounting selection crisis ahead of Friday's Premier League opener against Leicester City with Arsene Wenger set to be without TEN first team players.

Wenger would not reveal whether there had been any concrete offers for Sanchez and said his close relationship with Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi had no baring on the player's future.

"He adds great value to the squad and I think as well he is a great lover of the club". Even if that takes over £80m, PSG believe they can get him.

"Some you know about and that's very hard for a group of players to cope with that - and some other reasons we will talk about on another day".

The current contract Sanchez with Arsenal expires in the summer of 2018.

Sanchez has also expressed his desire to play in the Champions League next season, but Wenger has been adamant that the winger won't be allowed to leave the club.

Wenger has of course repeatedly stated that Sanchez will stay at Arsenal this season and said the Chilean forward "has to respect that decision" but is something else going on here?

Alexis Sanchez is an Arsenal player.

After nearly 12 months of speculation surrounding Sanchez's future the end-game doesn't appear to be in sight. I just think we are not open - what I said to you many times - to any offers, anyway.

"I don't look at Arsenal and feel they're Premier League contenders", Redknapp told Sky Sports News on Tuesday. All that will do is turn the focus to January and how he will be able to talk to clubs outside the Premier League come the turn of the year.

Some may disagree with that sentiment and feel Arsenal could do with the addition of the 2015-16 PFA Players' Player of the Year, who has stood out as one of the Foxes' elite stars in recent years.
