A feast of goals opened the Premier League season when Arsenal twice came from behind to beat Leicester City 4-3 with substitute Olivier Giroud heading a late victor on Friday.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is the biggest obstacle to any negotiations for Barcelona in trying to sign Philippe Coutinho this summer.

Arsenal remain adamant that Alexis will not be sold this summer with Guardiola accepting that a free transfer next year could be an alternative.

But Wenger said he had not heard from PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi and referred to French media reports suggesting PSG are more interested in signing Monaco's Kylian Mbappe.

"Every manager's nightmare is to lose a player in the last 24 hours or on the day of the window (closing) and you can't get a replacement in", he said.

"I can't tell you that at the moment", said the Arsenal manager.

The Gunners will kick-off the new season on Friday night when they host 2015/16 champions Leicester at the Emirates Stadium, with club-record recruit Lacazette likely to lead the line.

"Yes", Wenger said in July, as quoted by The Daily Telegraph.

"I don't know if it is two weeks or one more week, but he will not be available".

"He is an intelligent player who can integrate our game well as we have a game backed on mobility, technique and I think he can integrate that well".

"Alexis Sanchez is out for a while".

Mourinho played a three-man defence at times in the Super Cup, just as he has in some pre-season games, and is ready to deploy it domestically as well.

"I rate him as a player but we have similar types with Alex Iwobi, Jack Wilshere back, Mesut Ozil ... we have plenty of the same type of players".

This is it. After this first ever Premier League match which will hopefully come equipped with a goal, it will be all downhill from here.

"No", he replied when asked if any players were poised to leave.

It represents a significant pay rise on his current £140,000 deal, set to expire at the end of the season, and would see Ozil paid comparatively with the top stars at other Premier League clubs.
