Flooding possible Saturday into Sunday

Late this afternoon and into this evening, storms will likely develop across western and northwestern North Texas. High temperatures each afternoon will generally be in the upper 80s to lower 90s, just depending on where and when it rains each day. These will likely merge into a complex of storms and move from west to east across the northern half of North Texas (D-FW and to the north) this evening and into tonight.

Rain chances remain high Tuesday but a ridge of high pressure building strength over North America and the upper air flow will shift and frontal boundaries will remain well north of the area. Less rain is expected versus Thursday's storms, which brought widespread moisture to eastern Colorado - though a few storms may reach the severe range and bring hail up to one inch and 60 mile per hour wind gusts. Much more concerned with the wind and hail threat.

The storms will taper by early Sunday.

Flash flooding is possible across most of the state.

That said I am still going with about a 40% chance for pop-up showers and storms Sunday afternoon, especially for the areas that saw the heaviest rainfall on Saturday. Rain moves back into the forecast Sunday night and in to Monday morning. Sunday is looking dry again, with temperatures similar to Saturday.
