Following his latest medical trip, some groups and individuals have been calling for his return or resignation if he is unfit to govern.

The President's absence from the country has generated controversy and his comments come the same week that protesters took to the streets demanding that he resumes or resign. Here, the doctor is absolutely in charge.

In the team that visited Buhari were, besides Adesina and Mohammed, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Garba Shehu, Personal Assistant to the President on Digital/Online Media Lauretta Onochie, and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Diaspora Matters Abike Dabiri-Erewa.

"It (calls for president's resignation) is an act which is maliciously and mischievously being promoted by some unpatriotic and unguided people who do not even appreciate the collective responsibility of preserving the integrity of the Nigerian state as a project and are sadly patronized by the Nigerian media", he said.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday at Abuja House in London received members of the Presidential media team, reassuring them that there was tremendous improvement in his health.

"Yes he has said that now he has learnt to obey orders".

According to the statement, when told that prayers were going on fervently for him, not only in Nigeria, but all over Africa, and round the world, a delighted President Buhari said: "What we did in The Gambia early this year fetched us a lot of goodwill on the African continent".

However, in statement by Adesina, the President said he would be back to the country soon. I thank all those who are praying.

"The event is planned to hold on Monday (tomorrow) and is expected to be attended by over one hundred thousand Nigerians from and across the states of the federation and Abuja".

The presidency also released photos of Buhari walking outdoors.
