We've been hearing that Samsung's next-generation wearable device will be a cross between the Gear Fit 2 and Gear S3. It appears that the next hybrid smartwatch that Samsung plans to introduce is called Gear Sport.

Nothing much is known about the wearable at the moment, except that it's likely to have a design similar to the standard Gear Fit 2 and could feature improved step-tracking accuracy. As reported by Android Headlines the device bears a model number SM-R600 under FCC ID A3LSMR600.

Unfortunately, we know nothing about the upcoming wearable, barring the marketing name. The last Gear-branded fitness band was released just over a year ago. Apparently, the new model will likely to replace the Gear Fit 2 which was launched in June past year. Today we've got word that the next Samsung wearable device - a flawless companion for the Galaxy Note 8, as it were - just passed through the FCC.

The Gear Fit Pro has been in the rumor mill for a while, and recently it surfaced on FCC as Gear Fit 2 Pro (SM-R365), but an official support page went live as well.
