Cedar Point says - with new steel track installed - Steel Vengeance will provide "an extremely smooth and comfortable ride" while performing maneuvers "previously unheard of on a wooden roller coaster".

Separating the Sandusky theme park from the rest are the many different types of steel coasters for adults, including a wing (GateKeeper), a racing Hybrid (Gemini), a launched (Maverick) and a floorless coaster (Rougarou).

Cedar Point is revamping the former Mean Streak ride and it's hinted that the new ride would go in the park's FrontierTown. A hit when it opened, the ride had fallen out of favor in recent years because of its rough ride.

The massive Mean Streak wooden coaster was shut down last September. The Idaho-based company is known for its masterful conversions of wood coasters into steel-wood hybrids. For almost a year, the company has been on location in Sandusky, replacing Mean Streak's original wood track with thick beams of brown steel.

Steel Vengeance is expected to open in 2018.

Cedar Point promoted the video with the hashtag #TheyreComing, a hashtag they began using in April to promote other teasers of the coaster.

Among them was Clevelander Ryan Carpenter, who said, "It's going to break many world records, I'm pretty sure".

To celebrate the high-speed holiday, travelers should take their families and friends to the fast-paced action of the best roller coasters in the world.
