The England Under-20 worldwide, who joined the Reds from MK Dons in 2011 for £2m, has had previous loan spells at Wigan Athletic and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo claimed on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday morning that the 20-year-old had agreed to join the London club over a host of other second-tier sides including Derby, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough.

However, the youth World Cup victor has personally chose to move to Craven Cottage, and it's believed manager Slavisa Jokanovic is ready to make him a mainstay in his starting XI.

Reds boss Klopp now wants his young protege to prove his worth with Fulham before returning to Anfield next summer and potentially competing for a regular place in his 18-man matchday squads.

Fulham have signed Liverpool forward Sheyi Ojo on a season-long loan.

Liverpool's fellow Premier League side Newcastle United had allegedly been interested in landing Ojo - either on loan or permanently - earlier in the off season but the Reds declined to let the Magpies steal him away.

An injury limited him to just 2 senior team appearances last term, and with a lot of competition for playing minutes likely to hinder his development, a loan at Fulham will without a doubt do him a lot of good.
